Traditional Memorials

  • Standard Range of Single & Double Monuments

The standard range of Helbig traditional monuments might boast fewer features than the kerb and ledger designs, but they more than make up for that in quality of construction. All Helbig traditional monuments are created using the same method, utilising reinforced concrete foundations and floors and where needed, concrete corner piers.

HT1: This cost effective design features a reinforced concrete foundation and floor with crushed granite chippings and a 50mm thick tablet.

HT2: This design includes features often found on much more expensive monuments, including full size ledgers and upright headstone.

  • Single Strip Kerb Memorials

HT3: A very popular design featuring a concrete foundation with decorative granite kerbs, crushed granite chippings, flower block and a 50mm thick tablet.

HT4: This monument has many of the features of the design HT3, but in adition incorporates a front granite veneer and upright headstone for a slightly more sophisticated look.

  • Double Strip Kerb Memorials

The standard range of Helbig traditional monuments might boast fewer features than the kerb and ledger designs, but they more than make up for that in quality of construction. All Helbig traditional monuments are created using the same method, utilising reinforced concrete foundations and floors and where needed, concrete corner piers.

HT5: A very popular design featuring a concrete foundation with decorative granite kerbs, crushed granite chippings, flower block and upright headstone.

HT6: A traditional strip kerb design featuring Rustic kerbing and headstone on a concrete foundation with crushed granite chippings.

  • Kerb & Ledger Single Monuments

This design of memorial is for the family who would like a fully covered grave at a reasonable cost. Memorials that feature a ledger (slab) are ideally suited to those who wish to perform more than one burial in a site, as for a second or third internment, it is a simple matter of removing the ledger.

HT7: This design features Australian Calca granite (Streaky Bay, SA) kerbs, ledger and headstone, all of which are mounted on a fully reinforced concrete foundation. The edges of the granite are dressed rather than polished, keeping the cost very reasonable.

HT8: By using a combination of Australian granites, we have created an interesting and stylish monument. The kerbs and tablet have been made from Adelaide Black granite (Black Hill, SA) and the ledger from Australian Harcourt (VIC).

  • Kerb & Ledger Double Monuments

For the premium look without the premium price, these memorials employ dressed edges on all granite, ensuring a very cost effective monument. Due to the size of these monuments, they can employ up to six piers for additional support, particulary when in a cemetery with a poor quality of soil.

HT9: Although the majority of this memorial uses Adelaide Black (Black Hill SA), the ledgers are made from Australian Grandee (NSW) as they are less prone to cracking and are very close in colour to the black.

HT10: This double memorial is constructed from Australian Calca granite (Streaky Bay SA), which is an extremely tough material with the added benefit that it does not show the dirt as much as most other colours making it popular in our Northern Areas.

  • Premium Kerb & Ledger Single Monuments

Our premium monuments are just that, all exposed surfaces are polished and they can be configured by using veneers so that no concrete is visible. Like all of our monuments, these designs are designed to survive our harse conditions and the test of time, but have the added benefit of being extremely resistant to staining.

HT11: This striking memorial uses imported green granite kerbs, ledger and veneer with an imported Jet Black headstone which enables the ornate gold artwork and inscription to really stand out.

HT12: A prestigous memorial, presented in imported Jet Black granite with an imported Blue Pearl ledger from Norway in conjunction with the shaped headstone and ledger produces a classic and timeless monument.

  • Premium Kerb & Ledger Double Monuments

Impressive is a good word to describe our premium double monuments which incorporate all the features of our single premium range plus the ability to have wider than usual headstones. Due to their size and weight, we highly recommend using piers for these monuments unless they are constructed on the most stable of soils.

HT13: This monument features Australian Starlight Grey granite (WA) kerbs and front veneer, with Australian Grandee (NSW) ledgers and custom three piece headstone.

HT14: An all Adelaide Black (Black Hill SA) double memorial with unique shaped headstones and centre cross. This monument features veneers on four sides so the concrete foundation is completely hidden.

  • Designer Kerb & Ledger Double Monuments

These are the designs that the family can really create something unique for their loved one. As long as the monument fits within the cemetery regulations, most designs are possible. Our highly experienced consultants can help you with ideas or you are welcome to bring your own design for us to work with. We can produce three dimensional drawings, right through to full manufacturing details. We can create designs from hand sketches, through to digital photographs.

HT15: A highly detailed design to suit the most discerning family features imported Jet Black stepped kerbing, splayed Blue Pearl ledger with a striking two piece headstone.

HT16: This stunning European inspired design with imported Jet Black granite kerbs, imported Grey Onyx granite ledger and a highly detailed carved angel headstone in imported Jet Black granite.
